How long does this program take?

Successful completion will depend on your current skills, knowledge, and the time you have available to study. 

We offer flexible study options to help you achieve your chosen career goals. 

What units will I complete?

The program is composed of the following twelve units:

Industry Preparation Units

  • CPPREP4001 Prepare for professional practice in real estate
  • CPPREP4002 Access and interpret ethical practice in real estate
  • CPPREP4003 Access and interpret legislation in real estate
  • CPPREP4004 Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate
  • CPPREP4005 Prepare to work with real estate trust accounts

Property Sales Units

  • CPPREP4101 Appraise property for sale or lease
  • CPPREP4102 Market property
  • CPPREP4103 Establish vendor relationships
  • CPPREP4104 Establish buyer relationships
  • CPPREP4105 Sell property

Property Management Units

  • CPPREP4121 Establish landlord relationships
  • CPPREP4123 Manage tenancy

Upon successful completion of the program you will be issued a Statement of Attainment.

Why should I complete this program?

Successful completion of this program will satisfy the educational requirements to register as a real estate salesperson in Queensland.

A real estate salesperson registration certificate allows you to:

  • buy, sell, exchange or rent houses, businesses, land or any interest in these
  • manage their place of business (except the principal place of business), unless you are registered with conditions
  • negotiate on behalf of a buyer, seller, landlord or exchange or rent houses, businesses or land
  • show property to potential buyers
  • inspect and assess property for sale or rent
  • advertise a property for rent or sale (includes setting up signs)
  • open up a property for inspection for sale or rent.

You may not:

  • conduct auctions
  • operate trust accounts.
Does this program have formal entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements for this program.

However, prior to commencing the course you will be required to complete an LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy) assessment.

You will also be required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. If you do not currently have one you will be able to register at usi.gov.au.

While this program satisfies the educational requirements to register as a real estate salesperson, you should also check the Office of Fair Trading’s eligibility requirements. (see here)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer (CT)

Our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT) options provide you with acknowledgement of previous study, skills and experience.

What support do you offer?

Students are able to submit “help requests” directly via the student portal.

Students are provided with a mobile contact and email address for their allocated trainer. 

Students have access to our in-house welfare officers, student support staff and access to free online counselling through one of our partners.
