This program fulfills the academic requirements to apply for a Class 1 Licence in New South Wales. Upon completion, you’ll be eligible to apply for a Class 1 licence, allowing you to manage and operate a real estate agency or run your own business.

What units will I complete?

The program is composed of the following twelve units:

  • CPPREP5001 Manage compliance in the property industry
  • CPPREP5002 Establish and monitor property industry trust account management practices
  • CPPREP5003 Manage ethical practice in the property industry
  • CPPREP5004 Manage a safe workplace in the property industry
  • CPPREP5005 Manage teams in the property industry
  • CPPREP5006 Manage operational finances in the property industry
  • CPPREP5007 Develop a strategic business plan in the property industry

  • CPPREP5010 Manage customer service activities in the property industry
  • BSBLDR522 Manage people performance
  • BSBLDR602 Provide leadership across the organisation
  • BSBOPS502 Manage business operational plans

Upon successful completion of the program you will be issued a qualification known as the CPP51122 Diploma of Property (Agency Management)

Why should I complete this program?

Successful completion of CPP51122 Diploma of Property (Agency Management) program will satisfy the educational requirements to apply for a Class 1 licence with NSW Fair Trading.

Once you have successfully completed your program, you can own and operate your own real estate agency and act as Licensee in Charge (LIC).

Does this program have formal entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements for this program.

However, prior to commencing the course you will be required to complete an LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy) assessment.

You will also be required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. If you do not currently have one you will be able to register at usi.gov.au.

While this program satisfies the educational requirements of a Class 1 licence, you should also check NSW Fair Trading’s eligibility requirements. (see here)
