What units will I complete?

The program is composed of the following five units:

  • CPPREP4001 Prepare for professional practice in real estate
  • CPPREP4002 Access and interpret ethical practice in real estate
  • CPPREP4003 Access and interpret legislation in real estate
  • CPPREP4004 Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate
  • CPPREP4005 Prepare to work with real estate trust accounts
Why should I complete this program?

Successful completion of the Assistant Agent program is a mandatory requirement to work in the real estate industry.

Once you’ve successfully completed your certificate you can work in various roles under the guidance of a licensed real estate agent.

These roles include residential and commercial property sales, administration, buyer’s agent and real estate marketing.

What will this program enable me to do?

Completion of the five prescribed units satisfy the educational requirements to apply for a Certificate of Registration with Access Canberra, to start working as an assistant agent.

Under the guidance of a licensed real estate agent, an assistant agent can:

  • assist in sales of residential and commercial property
  • assist in real estate marketing campaigns
  • assist in property management services
  • assist in buyer’s advocacy services.

Once you’ve successfully completed your certificate you can work in various roles under the guidance of a licensed real estate agent. Our professional practice is the best preparation for your new career.

These roles include residential and commercial property sales, administration, buyer’s agent and real estate marketing.

Does this program have formal entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements for the Assistant Agent program.

However, prior to commencing the course you will be required to complete an LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy) assessment.

You will also be required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. If you do not currently have one you will be able to register at usi.gov.au.

Our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT) options provide you with acknowledgement of previous study, skills and experience.

Students are able to submit “help requests” directly via the student portal.

Students are provided with a mobile contact and email address for their allocated trainer.
